The blended learning or blended learning, flexible or blended learning, is a combination of resources and technological means of virtual and non virtual learning, classroom and distance in different proportions, combinations and situations.
This depends on the preferences of students, knowledge of ICT and trainers that they possess the technological resources and training needs with students.

- when resistance is encountered by teachers and students
- when there is no good accessibility and connectivity
- when you want a transition gradual face to the virtual instances.
This form allows you to offer equal opportunities of learning, flexibility and adaptailidad.
For example in the business environment there is an increased use of this facility, inside and outside organizations that offer access to ICTs gradually, combining and integrating the use of the same with traditional classroom in order to optimize results.
The teacher in this mode takes a dual role, first as a virtual tutor and the other the traditional teacher in the classroom.
